For Tarzana patients, the best timing usually depends on easy access, higher-touch follow-up, and smooth maintenance planning. Typical timing for microneedling with prp is 60-90 min, but we also look at prep, follow-up, and how the visit fits into the rest of your week.
Often it fits best as part of a broader plan. For Tarzana patients, we usually look at whether this step should stay focused or connect to additional treatments care with a clearer sequence.

Good candidates usually want gradual improvement in skin texture, visible pores, dullness, mild acne-scar texture, early fine lines, or overall glow, and they can follow aftercare. Consultation is important if you have active acne, eczema or psoriasis flares, frequent cold sores, a history of keloids, bleeding or platelet disorders, blood-thinning medication use, recent isotretinoin use, or upcoming sun-heavy travel.
PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma. It is prepared from a small blood draw and applied as part of the treatment plan after microneedling creates controlled microchannels. The goal is to support the skin's natural repair response and improve the look of radiance, texture, pores, and early lines over time. Results vary, and PRP is not a substitute for stronger resurfacing when deeper scars or laxity are the main concern.

NPMD; Amy, one of the smartest, kindest, compassionate and brilliant Nurse Practitioners.
She offers expert medical care and medical advice in a way that you understand. When she examines you and reviews your medical issues, not one detail is missed. she explains treatment options for you in a manner that is precise, individualized and understandable.
When she discusses your medical problems she is so kind, soft spoken, you can feel the discussion is coming from her heart, her deep understanding of medicine and human mankind. When you are with her YOU are not a patient with a chart number and a hurried 15 minute office visit. You are sitting with a person that makes you feel you count and that you are part of her medical family.
I have been coming to NPMD since it's opening in Encino, Ca.
The office is very clean and quite beautiful.
George, RN is so nice and so smart as well.
Amy's entire staff duplicate her and her vision for what 5 star medical care should be.
By the way if you are thirsty the office has the best coffee, made just for you as well as a variety of cold healthy beverages to drink.
The location is easy to get to and the parking is relatively inexpensive, compared to most LA parking.
My husband comes here now and every time I get a chance I always recommend that my friends or just people I speak to come to NPMD.
If you can just come and visit NPMD, I am well, thriving and very very happy with the care and attention I receive for this unbelievable practice. Thank You NPMD and Amy
